Love the space, the people, the view, and the events. Natasha and Claire do an amazing job. In addition to co-working, I recently hosted an event here in the evening; so its also a great venue for Meetups and similar things. Highly recommend. The rates are good, and they keep 2% Jazz coffee on rotation!
My teammate and I live in Victoria, and as our main office is in Vancouver, we were looking for part-time office space here on the island. Watershed offers an affordable clean, large, open space for coworking. There are great amenities (coffee, tea, etc.), lots of restaurants nearby, and a good amount of networking events.
We enjoyed our time here, and the only reason we left is because we spend a lot of time on conference calls with clients, so there weren't enough phone booths for our needs. If your work is primarily web-based and doesn't require you to be on regular lengthy phone calls, this will a great place to work.
One of the best coworking spaces in town. Awesome space, view, amenities, and overall offerings – AND reasonably priced! If you're looking for a space to work, definitely check these guys out.
Excellent co-working space! I have worked out of the Watershed off and on for a few years now. People really respect your space when you are heads-down for the day to make a deadline and equally happy to chat when there is time. The people are welcoming and smart and unpretentious. It has been helpful to make professional and social connections with people from such diverse professional backgrounds.
The layout is spacious with lots of light and greenery, and there are a lot of member perks like great workshops, weekly yoga, frequent food and drink. Being able to book meeting rooms there for client meetings has been a tremendous advantage for me. Clients are always so impressed with the space and the complimentary tea and coffee (or beer!) I am able to offer them. Being able to invite clients to the epic catered Christmas party is very generous. When I first looked into the space I was given a tour and a free day to work. Check it out!
I've worked here basically since it opened and just love it! Super bright and open, with great views on one end to the Olympic mountains. Infinite whiteboards, endless tasty coffee and beer on tap, fun and chill community events, a nice open kitchen that's great for catching up and socializing, two great bookable meeting rooms (the boardroom is amazing with tons of light, a white board wall and video conferencing), a great and evolving mix of co-workers, and a full-time community manager who helps keep the space alive and active. AND, some of the best yoga in town. If you're into that.
The design space (occupying an entire wing) is amazing both for individual creative work and for hosting community events. Our non-profit has hosted two evening events here, and it's worked out great.
For me, one of the most valuable aspects of working here at Watershed has been interacting with the diversity of co-workers and the host company (Watershed Solutions). I've made new friends, found professional inspiration, and have cooked up and collaborated on joint projects with many, many people here.
Like anything, you get out what you put in. And I'll admit I'm not the most active in all of the community events here (I come here to get work done). And yet, after years of pretty informal and casual investment on my end, this place and its people really feels like an extended family. Which is super cool.
