Fantastic family run hotel which is owned by Best Western.
We were checked in by a lovely young local gentleman named Andrea. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and very pleasant.
Location is superb for the train station and ferries and from the thick of the more congested parts of town.
Rooms are compact but quite elegant.
Breakfast is very substantial and very well done.
Highly recommended.
Absolutely the best place to stay in Venice.
So close to the parking, bus and train stations, but also close to all the attractions in Venice. Beautiful rooms, clean bathrooms, comfortable beds...the breakfast was great, and the girls who served it were incredibly nice. Andrea at the reception was amazing, helped us with the parking situation and was a real delight to speak with. We are definitely coming back.
Asked politely for a room upgrade (being BW Diamond Select member), got the smallest room which should be reserved for disabled people. Worst experience with BW so far! Currently staying here but we can’t enjoy. Definitely the last time!

My post was recognized. The lady who asked us to talk was really nice. She also offered another room which we did not take since we were leaving the next day. She said it was not available before which is a lie, as we checked the available accommodations beforehand, take your own meaning about this...
We would have loved to get that upgrade directly when checking in, and it was available at that time! But nobody cared about us or our status!
To put it in a nutshell:
The hotel is quite ok, nothing to complain about. But don’t expect any special treatment if you are a BW member. Not even an elite status (Diamond select) does made any difference. Very disappointing!
My girlfriend and I had a great stay here! Hotel Olimpia is perfect for people arriving by train as it is close to the train station. Additionally you can park your bikes in the garden. The rooms are cosy and beautifully decorated, breakfast was good, staff was very friendly. We could even relax in the garden after having checked out before taking our train home.
Our trip to this beautiful hotel was postponed due to the Coronavirus. Although we had nonrefundable reservations, the staff was absolutely amazing to work with. Marta and Andrea were hardworking and diligent in helping us get refunded through our third party online travel agency. (Which was quite the accomplishment) These are the kind of honest people that are a gift to work with. We definitely look forward to staying with Hotel Olimpia as soon as possible and we can’t wait to meet Marta and Andrea!!!!!
