Be very careful signing up with Regus. The account manager at the Westshore location in Tampa asked me several times if I wanted to sign up for a monthly membership and each time I was perfectly clear that I had no intention of signing up for a membership. We agreed I'd pay for 5 days and so I signed the paperwork. A few weeks later, I got an invoice for my monthly account charges. I called to dispute and they wouldn't refund my credit card charges. I cancelled right away and yesterday got another bill for the monthly subscription I never signed up for. I called to discuss and they have an automated message that hangs up at the end.
There are alternatives to Regus and I would recommend any one of them.
I have been working in the Rocky Point Tampa Regus location for years and never had a problem! The newest front desk members are an absolute pleasure! Jamie and Michelle always have a smile on their face and greet you with such enthusiasm! They make you feel welcome, and work hard for the clients in the building. Jesse has always been there for anything we have needed, and is such a friendly and great person. You can definitely see how well everyone works together and it shows in the happiness of the clientele in our building!
First I like to state that I have been a customer of yours since 2011 and my goal was to not cancel my contract but to downgrade my office space. My contract states an End date of June 30th 2019, But they are claiming I only had till March 30th to make changes and forcing me to an undisclosed increase amount till June 2020.
I have tried to speak with Ann at this location who has still yet to return my calls for 2 days now or provide me copies of my contract, that I requested. She uses email to refer me to the "account help desk" who refers me back to local office.
Luckily I found my contract and there are some MAJOR discrepancies that NO ONE wants to acknowledge.
** Per the terms under 2.3 CANCELLATION: EITHER THE PROVIDER OR THE CLIENT CAN TERMINATE THIS AGREEMENT AT THE END DATE STATED IN IT, "OR" AT THE END OF ANY EXTENSION OR RENEWAL PERIOD, BY GIVING AT LEAST THREE MONTHS WRITTEN NOTICE TO THE OTHER.
1) they are using the word "OR" which means that there is a choice and my End date clearly states "June 30th, 2019"
2) It Also states I must give at least 3 months notice, which would from my interpretation, make me responsible to extend the current contract 90 days from today, since I did so before end date on contract.
3) Per Florida Statue 501.165 Automatic renewal of service contracts: 2b: Any seller that sells, leases, or offers to sell or lease any service to a consumer pursuant to a service contract that has an automatic renewal provision, unless the consumer cancels that contract, shall disclose the automatic renewal provision clearly and conspicuously in the contract....
4) It clearly states: "CAN TERMINATE THIS AGREEMENT AT THE END DATE STATED IN IT" which says June 30th, 2019
5) Per Florida Statue 501.165 Automatic renewal of service contracts: "Notification shall be provided to the consumer no less than 30 days or no more than 60 days before the cancellation deadline pursuant to the automatic renewal provision.
6) Per your records, you are claiming a notice was sent via an electronic notification on March 10th, 2019. Based on that email you ONLY provided a maximum of 20 days, which is a violation of Florida state law.
WOW, great business practices and service.....
Great experience! Staff are helpful and always professional. The Regus office is in a high end office building that is well maintained. My clients are always impressed!
Front desk personnel are constantly changing resulting in loss of mail. They failed to give us so many pieces of mail in our first two months that we ended our contract early. The office manager and even the general manager were soso nonresponsive that they were never able to correct the issue and, instead, of trying to resolve the situation, they just informed us that they don’t loose mail.
I had so many clients that had to reissue payments that I am now renting a new office but still have 90 days remaining in my contract with Regus. The GM said she would allow us to cancel early but that was 60 days ago and they’re still billing us. Calls and emails to the office as well as corporate resulted in zero action. We were told that it could be canceled early but no one ever returns calls or emails.
I should have known this was going to be s problem during the antiquated, paper-based sign-up process that took almost 3 weeks to finish after we finally heard back from a salesperson just to get a quote. You can’t find pricing online or register online. Everything was done by mail and tools weeks.
This has been a terrible experience. I have used multiple co-writing spaces in multiple cities. This is by far the worst experience. Nice building, nice location, but they seem to be so big that they just don’t care. This has been the worst experience of any coworking location that any of us ever had.
