I have been working out of the East Village Union Cowork for about 8 months and I really enjoy the atmosphere, people, events, and especially the manager who is always available to answer questions or help out when needed. It is a very clean environment. Some days can be busier than others but most of the time with as many people that utilize the cowork it is actually quiet a majority of the time. I try to work my schedule to come into the office around when Johnnie the manager holds fun activities or events such as national bagel day's, sandwich days, etc. Look no further, this is the place to get work done and doesn't give you the dreading feeling of actually going into work because the environment is actually enjoyable!
The decor is cute, but there were internet issues and the place doesn't seem to be very well kept. Ex. The sign outside says one of its draws is that they offer coffee. But it was morning and I grabbed a coffee mug, then realized the inside was filthy. So I got another one that looked clean, tried to get coffee, but only a drop came out. So apparently it had been sitting out all night. Someone else had tea but I was pretty put off at that point and didn't trust it.
Union Cowork in East Village is AMAZING! Johnnie, the manager, is the BEST!!! She is friendly, positive, communicative and will solve any issues that arise. All you have to do is bring something to her attention and she will take care of it in a timely manner. The space itself has a cool vibe-several offices and large open desk spaces on 2 floors, tons of natural light, live plants, pet friendly, eclectic furniture & artwork, etc. The location is awesome, convenient and close to everything-restaurants, hotels, Gaslamp, the ballpark and the bay! I love coming to work here on a daily basis!
