Reviews from visitors:
Second time to the resort and loved as much as the first time.
Staff was all wearing masks even outside, felt very safe there. Food in restaurants could be better for price but not bad. I have found both times you can walk off the property and get better meals. Otherwise I would give 5 stars.
Great beach side resort.
Everyone is helpful and friendly.
Good food.
Drinks are good, a little pricey but you get what you pay for.
Life is short, just let go.
The Tradewinds is a huge property, and all of it is gorgeous. From the white sand beaches in the bungalow rentals, to their amazing pool and garden walkways. They also have a little putt putt course, life-size chest, and plenty of other amenities. If you’ve never stayed here we’re going to Saint Pete, I highly recommend it. It is a gorgeous resort. The staff is friendly, and everyone who goes here leaves happy. Not to mention, the restaurants are fire, and their food is fantastic.
The resort and beach are beautiful. The staff we encountered and the food we ate were also wonderful. The only reason for the 3 stars instead of 5 stars is Covid related. The staff was wearing masks, but there was no attempt to have guests wear masks. I would guess there was 1 out of every 50 guests wearing masks (no exaggeration). There are signs all over to social distance and maintain 6 ft spacing, but people were always bunched up together in lines, at the pool and at activities/amenities. No enforcement by the staff. There were also no additional sanitation measures being taken. With the lack of adherence to standards, it was not feasible to take advantage of the amenities and feel safe.
Not real impressed for the price. Had a room on the ground floor that was over $400/night before the various taxes. The floor was dirty when we checked into the room. I know it's the beach, but your room should at least start off clean. Appliances in the kitchenette were all old and the coffee maker looked like it came from a motel 6. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, which the establishment knew, and offered nothing to us. Be prepared to spend a bundle for the restaurants and bars within the facility, also. Overall, really not impressed. If it would have been possible to take a cruise it would have been much more enjoyable.
