TenPod has been my office-away-from-office since 2016. I work for an NYC-based company and TenPod gave me all the in-person water cooler talk I could want. Everyone there lives in the community and many have kids in the local schools or have lived in the area for a long time. And then there are the random folks here from Australia or something. Everyone is friendly and polite. The deck is the best place in town to have lunch and the homey feel of the place has gotten a serious polish since Amanda took the reins in 2019 and then took over in 2020. That I can't go there right now (they are being safe, but my family situation doesn't allow it) is one of the hardest bits of the pandemic for me. Holding onto my desk because I can't wait to be back when times improve!
I've been at TENpod for almost 6 years! its such a sweet space with a wonderful community of people. The Beaumont village area is within biking distance of my home and full of coffee shops and yummy places to eat near by.
I've been a TenPod Fremont member for a few years, and it's my go-to for getting work done out of the home. It's a .9-mile neighborhood walk for me, and I normally go there a few days a week. Here's how it works: desks are all reserved desks. There are (at least) two tiers: big ones, some by windows and in corners, and smaller, standing desks. You rent one and set your stuff up there and leave it; it's yours. There are maybe 20-30 desks, but as is the nature with coworking spaces, there are rarely more than 10-15 there at a time. TenPod doesn't have a bunch of fancy amenities like WeWork or CNTRL Office, but the thing that those other places don't seem have is the friendly, family group that has been built up here. I like going in and saying hi to people that I know are in there working hard most days. If you're looking for a friendly, reliable coworking space to set up shop in, this is a good option. Only downside is the tempting aromas of the bakery on the first floor. The marionberry cheese danish gets me every time.
Great space and great people!
