Reviews from visitors:
This is a great hotel. I went here while visiting Niagara Falls and was immensely satisfied with my experience. I parked by the hotel and walked into the lobby, where I checked in at the front desk. I got my room key and went up to my room, which was near the top of the hotel. I walked into my room to find two comfy beds and a nice, large, clean bathroom. The bathroom had a bathtub with shutters that opened to let you see into the rest of the room. I put my suitcases down and walked to the window in my room, where I could see a great view of Horseshoe Falls. The window opened only slightly and there was a bug net in the window, so it’s very hard to accidentally fall out of the room. After looking at the view, I went down to the waterfalls. After I was at the waterfalls and Clifton Hill, I came back to my room. I went into the bathroom and took a bath, which was pretty nice. After I did that, I laid down on one the beds and fell asleep. The next morning, I woke up, ate breakfast, and checked out of the hotel, satisfied with my experience. I gave this hotel five stars because it has nice rooms and I saw a nice view of the falls from my hotel room. The hotel has a restaurant where you can see a view of Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls, which looks very nice.
The room was amazing! Very clean, the staff were also awesome. Not giving 5/5 because the parking $ is ridiculous. We paid $35 and didn’t get VIP parking because my boyfriends truck didn’t fit underground, so we had to park in another parking lot and STILL got charged $35. I understand some sort of charge but $35 is outrageous.
Also, around 9/10 am, there was someone with a drill and a hammer in the room beside us which was very disruptive.
The worst customer service ever. It took us three attempts to get checked in.
Attempt one: arrived earlier than time, requested early check-in because of the facility provided by the credit card. The manager himself refused. We accepted it, since these are unprecedented times.
Attempt two: came back 30 min before time to get in line. Reached the counter, our booking showed canceled, upon further inquiry, the manager had check us in at Attempt one and our reservation vanished. So after some arguments, they figured it out. But wait, the key to the room will not given 5 min early. House keeping controls the key, we were told. Back in line.
Attempt 3: our selected rooms have been given out to others, the 4 rooms we selected to be side by side. We end up at 4 different floors.
The rooms were good, clean, and nice. That was good to have.
The "continental breakfast" promised to be delivered outside the rooms were a surprise. One bottled water, one orange juice, one small apple and one bite size muffin. Eureka! We must be the lucky ones to get such lavish treatment.
After coming home, we were billed for 3 rooms when they had already taken credit card info from all 3 families. Did I mention, billed 100 dollars extra per room. So my bill comes out to be for 3 rooms with 300 dollars extra. We called about this and guess what, it's the same unreasonable person/manager on the phone. His statement, "we charge security upfront and then we charge the room amount again upon checkout. This is our policy. You will get the extra charges refunded after 3-4 days". I wonder how would you reason with a person like that. Now I am going to call the other families to pay us for their rooms.
By far the worst customer service ever, we have received.
We stayed at the Embassy for two nights. The room was perfect - large, clean, very comfortable bed and it had most amazing view you could ask for. I called down to reception few times and the staff was always courteous and very helpful. Whatever I asked for was delivered to the room promptly. We missed any kind of brown bag breakfast. The room had a convenience of a microwave and a fridge, which was very handy. Would recommend to everybody.
Social distance fail at check in. We checked in electronically yet still had to stand in a line up with everyone right beside each other to get a key...really? What is the point of being a Hilton member and checking in online if you still get treated like cattle? Really hope it gets better from here...
UPDATE...sadly, it did not get better. Staff putting too many people into elevators (the one time they were actually monitored) no respect for physical distancing. To top it all off being woken up at 3AM to a wild party next door with people screaming and yelling and trying to phone the front desk only to find the phone in the room doesn't work. Nothing like searching on your cell for a local number for the hotel you are staying at 3AM...WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN!!!
