I had a really good experience sorting out my train tickets with Eurorail pass. The lady who helped me at the ticket office was so attentive and patient. The station itself is very cool inside: tropical atmosphere.

The Renfe worker, Sonsoles, did not explain the information to us well. We paid 85€ for tickets and she refused to move them to another day when we missed the train due to her lack of explanation. We were at the platform 5 minutes before boarding, but on the wrong one due to her incorrect explaining. The workers at the train did not do anything to help us understand the situation. Because of this, we missed the train. I came to her to ask her to please move my tickets to the next day, and she blatantly refused and did not help me in anyway. When I asked to speak to someone else, she just gave me a card. Since this station is not accommodating to tourists, let me tell you the CORRECT information. You can buy AVANT and Renfe tickets at the SAME place, even though it is not clearly stated in signs. Ask for someone who speaks English more fluently if they seem to only have a beginner vocabulary. The platform number is NOT on your ticket. You must check yourself 20 MINUTES before your train leaves. They close the gates exactly 2 minutes before. There is absolutely NO extra time for late passengers. The train leaves exactly at the time stated. We lost €85 due to an incompetent worker. Please avoid this same mistake.
