No WiFi in outbuildings, I wasn’t happy. Only WiFi in the main building! And no A/C!! Outstanding view tho!
Nice view, nice house. Only negative is the cleaning and the reception times. Otherwise it's really grand.
Very sweet staff and great location, near to the beach and the main boulevard. Apartments are equipped very well, however cleaning is charged extra (or it can be done by the visitor).
We had an amazing week at the Residence de l'ocean last summer. We didn't quite realise until we got there just how well-located it actually is! Literally just a few metres from the beach (with great views of the sea) and only 5mins walk into the little town centre of La Tranche. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen had plenty of cooking equipment, for me to fail at replicating some of the local dishes. I enjoyed trying though! There are a good range of restaurants in the town and we had a lovely seafood meal at the Hotel de l'atlantique. We sat outside, stuffed ourselves with seafood and wine, then made the short walk home! Another great plus point is the residence has a swimming pool, which is perfect for people like me who like looking at the sea, but not actually going in it!! All in all we absolutely loved the place and we are intending to go back. We got chatting to a nice French couple staying in another apartment who have holidayed there every summer for the last 9 years...each time in exactly the same apartment. Now having been there myself, I completely understand why!
I had booked a room with terrace and sea view as described in the advertisement, but when I arrived I had a dark room with just a small window and a breathtaking view on a neighboring roof, in addition to this price there just for one night I had to do the housework and they did not provide sponge, tea towel and toilet paper. I was extremely disappointed. When I wanted to settle the problem with the staff, they did not want to know anything and do nothing for the inconvenience.
I am not ready to go there again and I do not recommend this kind of hotel at all.
