I echo what Ricardo Portobella just wrote. I have already moved out because there is no business anymore. They still charge me every single month. I had to put three months of notice even before my contract expires or pay for the rest of the renewed contract. Never Ever Seen Anything Like It Before. Be very careful what you get yourself into.
This is an overpriced and unethically run building. Do not sign a lease without having an attorney review it. Know that leaving the building will be a miserable experience and you'll be lucky to get out without mind games and surprise expenses - or get this, an "automatically renewed" lease that prevents leaving when the contract ends. Hate to threaten litigation to manage simple office rental agreements, but expect that you will. I hope that the owners and building management understand one day that community is more than a sales pitch - this is an unfriendly building that exploits workers looking to save on workspace expenses. Please avoid this building.
I work at a small start-up, under twenty people, and this office has been the perfect home for us at this stage of our growth. The location in Pioneer Square is so convenient for employees coming from all directions. Our office is comfortable, clean, and gets a ton of light.
The Novel organization has been communicative and helpful. We have some extra security requirements and the management has been very accommodating. There is a property manager available all day who is responsive and helpful and the front desk staff are great too. I've enjoyed all the little events they host for the tenants!
This is, bar none, the best co-working experience I have had. The prices are super reasonable ( dear god just take a look at similar offerings in Seattle), the location was fantastic and full of character (smack in the middle of Pioneer Sq, it was lit), and the staff was super nice. It actually made me look forward to come in and work in my “office”. I recommend them unhesitatingly.
I was one of the early tenants to move into this place after it was remodeled. The Novel Coworking experience has been outstanding. Throughout my tenancy, I have found the staff to be extremely helpful, on top of things, and always available. The space itself is gorgeous, including the two large coworking spaces but also the individual offices. This is a beautiful old building that has been lovingly restored. The amenities in the building are terrific and always functioning. You can’t beat the free espresso machines and the free beer!! There’s also a real sense of positive community among the tenants and everyone really gets along well and is supportive. I cannot more highly recommend the Novel Coworking option. It is a very cost-effective and excellent way to maintain an office in downtown Seattle.
