Amazing place, amazing location and amazing host. Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality. Loved all the personal touches! You have created such a wonderful and relaxing getaway. The breakfast was delicious. This place is in walking distance to the cute shops and some great restaurants. Thank you so much!
What a beautiful place! You can tell the owners really put care and love into the design, maintenance, and service of this place.
It's beautifully decorated like Victorian style but all of the appliances and furniture are well kept and usable. It comes with all the amenities like appliances, cook and eating ware, hygiene items. There's old style china and you can even use it!
The bed is comfy and luxurious so you feel like 19th century royalty. The bathroom is cozy and has nice touches like a wooden board that sits across the tub so you can eat and drink while bathing.
The area is full of pretty old houses and is very photogenic and quiet. You can easily walk to the downtown area which has eating joints, shops, and tourist sites.
We definitely recommend staying here and will do so again in the future!
Greatly enjoyed our one night at the Galveston East End House. Decorated in sea-themes, lots of unexpected amenities, porch with a view of historic homes, Betsey's friendlyness, and her recommendation for dinner at the Mosquito Cafe...made for a restful and enjoyable stay.
Stayed here back in Oct 2020. It was the perfect place for a staycation. The neighborhood is beautiful and peaceful. The Strand is within walking distance so you can shop, eat and sightsee conveniently.
The home itself is fully furnished in an old timey style from the 1900s. It's almost like your relaxing in the past. All the amenities are present and in good working order: appliances, cookware, eating ware, bathroom with towels and cleaning supplies. The balcony is perfect on a nice day/night to chill outside (and there's a hammock).
We stayed on a weekend and got an included simple, but lovely, breakfast of coffee and tasty pastries.
All in all, we will visit again!
BEAUTIFUL SUITE! We booked a couple of nights when we were able to leave our kiddos with family and had a wonderful time just relaxing in the hammock, sleeping in (super comfortable bed), and getting time to talk without interruptions. The suite is stunning - there are sweet little special touches everywhere you look. The weather was not very accommodating for us to venture out so we had much-needed leisurely mornings and peaceful quiet. We even caught up on a few shows we enjoy - laughing together is one of our favorite pasttimes. :) We were particularly impressed with the special treats the hosts included like real creamer and complimentary beverages in the fridge.
Countact-free check-in was super easy - a key pad for the door to the suites and then a private key for the suite itself. A complimentary French breakfast of pastries is offered on weekends but we stayed during the week so we did not get the chance to taste those. We did enjoy the little snacks left for us with our coffee each morning. :)
The front porch looks out over the beautiful Ball Street historic homes and the hammock you can set up there is spectacular! That was probably the hubs favorite place to be - napping or reading in the hammock. To access the proch, you use one of the floor-to-ceiling windows (labled Balcony Entrance). Just unlock and lift the window all the way up. Definitely gives a charming feel of the early 1900s.
This was a perfect quick get away to refresh and recharge. We felt pampered but left alone which was ideal! Will definitely stay again!
