The stay started out well. The rooms seemed sanitized and the safe distancing seem to be the mantra but the hotel was packed to capacity and many guest didn’t seem to observe wearing a mask in public spaces. On check out day, it became irritating to know the front desk deactivated our keys for the elevators and parking gate BEFORE 11am! This did not happen last time we stayed at this Marriott property. Another couple that came with us tells us a staff member was at their hotel room door knocking at 8am asking about when they were “checking out”. This is uncomfortable, inconvenient and unacceptable! We learned our key was deactivated on the elevator trying to take our belongings to the car. We had to find a staff member to activate the elevator to take us to parking level. THEN we could not get back in the door to get the rest of our belongings out of the room! This did not make us or other guest feel warm, welcomed or appreciated. In all the years of staying on Marriott properties foreign and domestic have we ever experience keys deactivated before checkout. Although this particular hotel is beautiful and centrally located, we will stay at another property. Experiencing this type of service twice is more than one should endure. By the way, parking is $27. a night whether valet or self-park. The desk quotes one price, signs and valet quotes another.
While parking is pricey (to be expected), the location is great and within walking distance the beach, food and entertainment. Room is nice and having a kitchen is wonderful. Saves on eating out. There is a market across the street for food shopping needs.
This hotel is clean and the service is excellent. The beach side provides a great view, however there is a nightclub at its base which plays loud music until late hours. If want a good night's sleep don't stay on that side.
We were there for two weeks. You have to schedule a room cleaning. We did that but housekeeping never showed up. Our room is full to the brim with used towels, sand, and until today when I emptied it myself, trash cans we're overflowing. For the price? You'd think there would be more service. Also? The pool is filthy with no less than 6 used Band-Aids gathered up in the corner. I was afraid I'd get botulism or something if I used it so I never did.
What a great place .Good service .Nice people. Love the pool I say you should try this hotel. Close to alot.
