GREAT SUNSET VIEWS!
After a lightning hit the pier, it caught on fire and the metal structure is all that’s left. These ruins, albeit saddening, are fascinating to watch, especially during the sunset. It’s a great place to relax and reflect, as different seabirds fly past.
It has been blown up. Caught fire hit by lightening and all that is left is this metal skeleton. I looked at pictures of it in its heyday and it was amazing a real magical place and in my mind better than the one thats still standing. I ate a vegan chicken burger looking at it and a fox in the dark last night on the beach. It is like a piece of art now and a sanctuary for birds...
There are pebbles, and there are more pebbles. Could get a bit busy and crowded at peak times/season. Quite a few nice live music venues nearby as well as descent bars and restaurants.
Lovely to paddle up to. Saw some black storks sitting on top and also some people fishing round the back off their paddleboards which looked dreamy. Be safe, follow the signage and don't do anything stupid :)
Strangely beautiful location, if you can catch the sunset behind it then you can get some incredible photos.
It's always sad to see a place burn down but the remnants of what is left still means you can enjoy it (I guess?)
