Surreal, it has been the worst experience one can possibly have in dealing with an agency. Borderline illegal. Aside all the problems and delays they have created, the human touch it's deplorable. Extremely rude and unprofessional employees. Save yourself the trouble!
Whaow. Whaow. Whaow. I have had almost only bad experiences with real estate agents in Barcelona, but I must say they top my list of the worst possible ever, along with Bou Advocats.
Almost illegal. Do not perform basic agency duties. Cheat. Lie. Save yourself from them.
I was interested in buying a parking spot for my car. Should have been a breeze. First visit we do, the keys are not functional (so not tested). We offer a few ideas (like get closer to the door, maybe batteries are almost dead, you know, common sense...) but they refuse to even try and we had to cancel. 1h lost. A few days later, we come again and this time we can visit.
We like it and decide to move forward. They won't give us any legal document (Nota Simple, IBI...) if we don't pay 2000€ of "reserva". That is classic yet pretty high for a parking spot. But well, we go with our lawyer to their office to sign some paperwork about it. They let us rot for 1h in an office with the only explanation that the changes we wanted on the contract had to go through legal and it takes time (they had the red lines in hand way before we got there obviously and could have done it before...). Lawyers charge by the hour, so at this point I am paying just to see documents.
That done, they don't send the required documentation. But the next day at 4:30PM they say our offer has been accepted with a little bump on the price we offered. We agree to the increase and get ready for the next step which is to go to the notary to organize payment and transmission of the lot.
Then the day after at 11AM we get a new email saying that we can't move forward because the wife of the owner died and she had 50% of the property.
Right. Overnight? That is a lot of bad luck. And a weird reflex to go remove a sales ad the day that follows the death of your wife.
Then to give us back our 2000€, they ask us to sign a document claiming that our offer has been refused. We preferred to send our own version with the truth, which they accept without comment (at this point I find it almost weird).
The worst in this: our research shows that this person had really died, but several months before the ad was published. That is what I call spectacular customer service...
So, again, save yourself time and money and to next door, and trust every 1* review you can see below, which I should have done in the first place.
As far as Forcadell's answer goes, it just outlines that:
* They accepted the offer without even consulting the owner, since the offer would not have been accepted in the first place
* The ad was re-published in January, after the unfortunate event, so they did not bother to contact the owner to re-discuss
At the end of the day, it's bad customer service for owners and bad for buyers. Apologize as much as you can, what you should do is look back at your processes and start to seriously up your game.
Just the classic agency of thieves. Unprofessional and unworthy. Beware avoid this scammers! They keep the money months without working and in the end they invent expenses giving you like a bill with taxes included that is not valid.... because in the end this are piece of paper that a monkey can write. They create expenses, they include taxes(VATS) and they give you a paper that is not valid... because in the end the will keep also taxes to create black funds. FORCADELL IN PLAZA UNIVERSITAT N.3 WORST OF THE WORST.
Un servicio terrible - en Calle Llull 350-360 ya hemos tenido 5 días sin agua caliente dentro 10 diás (en invierno) y me parece que Forcadell no hace *nada* para arreglarlo. Una broma.

A terrible service. In Calle Llull 350-360 we've now had no hot water or heating for 5 out of the last 10 days in Winter, and Forcadell are being as inefficient as ever and "passing the buck" onto whoever they possibly can to avoid taking any kind of responsibility. Forcadell are jokers. Do not do business with them under any curcumstances!
I do not put zero stars because it does not allow me. The management is terrible not to say NULL. Months waiting for the deposit and after half a year we continue to receive charges for supplies and insurance that they assured to cancel (all in writing). This has no other name apart from ROBO.
The first and last time we rent something with this real estate.
