Useless ski personal can’t (even when queue is more than 600m long) fit enough persons in the cabine, so at first you have to stand in line literally for more than one hour. They let to forge extreme queue in spite of even covid hazard. OK, what annoys me more is ungrateful personality and rude behavior of all Bulgarian staff and local persons on slopes. Crazy high prices for low quality fast-foods on slopes (twice pricier than Italy) and all kind of mess around the slopes and restaurants. Great to say that I discovered another country where it’s possible to ski (due to covid and closed Europe), but hope I won’t be forced to ski in this country again.
After having a disappointing experience with a snowboarding instructor from a small school the previous day (unmotivated, distracted, rude), we were happy that we met Martin from Ulen Ski School. We approached him spontaneously at the last gondola station, as we felt we needed more skilful advice. He is really knowledgeable and passes over his enthusiasm for snowboarding immediately. His positive and motivating nature made it easy to follow his instructions. Also, he was completely focused on our session. We definitely recommend him.
Been here three times and every time I fully enjoy the experience. it's inexpensive, top quality, and rarely do I go when its too busy. They have been attracting some good events such as the 'Horizon Festival' as of late, and are big enough that you dont feel crowded on the slopes.
If you want to get your legs under you (literally) while skiing or snowboarding without paying so much to not take advantage of France/Swiss resorts and their challenge, then this is a great first step!
Among many years and many places, this was the worst ski holiday. The slope was completely unprepared, each day more and more snow drifts. The staff cares only about selling more and more tickets, no one cares about slopes. Many people were injuried and taken by rescue team. Definitely discourage.
