A place to relaxed and quiet for praying
I'd been in Assissi many times but had never gotten around to seeing the bosco. It was a great experience! Lots of lovely nature and a very peaceful atmosphere. Totally recommend it.
A delightful walk starting at the Basilica of Saint Francis, through the surrounding woods and pastures outside the city wall. Reserve a few hours for this.
The walk here from the Basilica di San Francesco was wonderful. Truly beautiful woods - very peaceful, and away from the crowds you'll find in Assisi. An easy hike, well marked and maintained. There are lots of things to discover that the maps will point out to you if you feel adventurous.
This was a delightful discovery right by the Basilica. Would do the walks again and the Osteria du Moulin was brilliant.
