Reviews from visitors:
I booked a stay for April/Mai. Out of obvoius reasons it was cancelled. So far so good. This is completely understandable. I already payed the first part. They transfered the deposit to a voucher (18 months). Instead of communicating honestly, they never mentioned that the company is obliged to refund the deposit after 18 months. Instead, they tried to rush me into useless online classes etc. After a while I found the corresponding french decrete (the one about the 18 months vouchers) and had a colleague translate it to me. Instead of confirming this to me I had to write another two e-mails. (Finally they confirmed it. But not without offending me...) I am highly dissapointed about the communication of the CIA.
My stay at the school was extremely pleasant even in these uncertain times of Covid-19.
Every one in the School outside of the Classes had to wear masks, and inside the class there was a safe distance and enough space for everyone. Also there was desinfectant everywhere. The teachers were very competent and you were able to learn a lot, especially orally. Time passes very fast when you are learning there.
The activities are great too, you visit Antibes, other surrounding city’s like Nizza and Cannes. You do a lot of fun stuff like sailing and kayaking too.
Overall it was a very enjoyable and satisfactory experience.
The weirdest stuff member! I just had phone call with the school today and got weird answers. There was a lady on the phone and I asked about a year french language courses she said they dont do year they do weeks. I said can I study like 48 weeks (which is makes a year) she said yes. And she asked me if I planned to stay in France for years, I was like what? And I asked her again im from California and I need b2 level French so is 48 weeks would enough for b2 level? She said no. I said then how many weeks do I need to book at least for b2 she said it depends on me, you can come for 2 months and see etc. I think she hates her job. I was too excited to attend the school for a year or 48 weeks whatever but NEVER AGAIN!
10/10 would recommend this school to top up your French for the professional world. The first day started with a comprehensive written test that had at least 10 pages. Accompanied by a spoken test, they then determine your appropriate level.
My teacher Kathy was engaging, helpful, resourceful and lots of fun! Overall an excellent teacher with an excellent teaching style that included written work, debates within the class and learning about different cultures that use the French language. Thanks to Kathy, I was able to improve my French in the 2 weeks I was there.
Centre International D'Antibes is a really nice language school in Antibes with very funny staff and fun activities. Especially Julien and Simon are the best if you have them as your animators for after school activities. Smoking is permitted for all students over the age of 10 which is a great solution to stop smoking in school grounds and getting back to class late. Although no alcohol and drugs are permitted! There are a lot of fun activities to do and in 1 week, I never realised how fast it went. Finally, if you have any problems with anyone during your visit, give Stan a message and he will arrive in 2-3 minutes with his giant motorcycle. Hoping for another visit in May
