What a magical place. Beautiful rooms, absolutely outstanding breakfast, and the location is superb - close enough that you are near everything yet quiet enough that you get away from the tourists. It was my girlfriend's birthday and I asked the staff for recommendations. Little did I know that they would engineer what would end up being my girlfriend's favourite birthday. Thank you to the staff! They were truly welcoming, outgoing and filled with great recommendations. A must if you decide to stay in Venice!

The hotel is just central location, near the river port. I strongly advice to come at least for the evening tea, or any other reason, and enjoy the magnificent view from the balcony, where the water is literally almost coming to your feet, the staff is also nice with a great sense of humor.

The hotel was well located in the Santa Croce area - good for visiting varoius landmarks. The suite was stunning with what I call, a Venetian Decor. Spacious Rooms with all the amenities & Extremely Friendly Staff. I would definitely recommend & would stay again in our next visit to Venice

Staff is outstanding. Hotel is fine for the price. But yes it's totally opposite to santa Lucia. Station and u need to walk from there crossing over the bridge and coming to this end. If you have lots of luggage think about it. Otherwise it's a good local place, staff is fine. Breakfast is bread and basket.. we were on long tour so the local kind of support from this hotel helped us getting dry cleaning done.. with in budget decent place to stay...gives u good feel of Venice.

Sat outside in the square both times, interesting place for people watching, really nice atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Venice!

Nice train station, if you’ll be lucky like me, you will see the Orient express! The train station is always busy and crowdy, nice shops though! There was a Tiger, nice pizza and much more! Feeling welcomed, everyone helps you when you want to know information about your train:)

The Chiesa di San Polo is very interesting church, dedicated to the Apostle Paul. It gives its name to the San Polo sestiere of the city, next to a beautiful and spacious square. Founded in the 9th century, the church of San Polo has since undergone two important interventions over the centuries that have changed their original Byzantine structure (two lions carrying pillars at the base of the bell tower are probably part of the original building). The first alteration was made in the 15th century, with transformations based on late Gothic styles and a beautiful portal made by Venetian architect Bartolomeu Bon, the second alteration in 1804 was made by architect Davide Rossi who transformed the church into a neoclassical style. The interior of the church is interesting and richly decorated with beautiful paintings by famous Venetian artists. Thus, inside the church, the painting "The Last Supper" is kept in the facade and on the first altar on the right side of "The Assumption of the Saints" by Jacopo Tintoretto. The presbytery space is entirely decorated with canvases by Jacopo Palma the Younger, while on the right and left are the Chapel of the Sacrament, a precious longobard work decorated with eighteenth-century Salviatia frescoes and an altar with Paolo Veronese's "Marriage of the Virgin." On the second altar in the left aisle is the canvas "The Virgin Appearing to San Giovanni Nepomucen", the famous work of Giambattista Tiepola (1754).

Away from the crowds you can fine this spacy museum with Rodin and other really beautiful sculptures. And a beautiful painting of Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida the Sail sewers which was the most expensive purchase of the early Biennale di Venezia. We went there to see the Fiorucci exposition which was a blast. Upstairs is the Asian art museum, but unfortunately we ran out of time. Highly recommended visit.

I have been going to this hotel for the past 30 years. The service is always excellent! I love to have breakfast coffee overlooking the Canale Grande. The ambiance of the hotel is truly venetian! Most convenient with parking and immediate access to the vaporetti! I highly recommend this unique hotel!

Easy to order a day online ahead of time. Received the locker bummer and passcode to open by email. Easy to find. Easy to get in. They even have an open locker there for you to check the size, and we found the online description felt clear and was enough space for us traveling with two medium bags each. You can open throughout the day. It was super easy and convenient!

Fantastic family run hotel which is owned by Best Western.
We were checked in by a lovely young local gentleman named Andrea. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and very pleasant.
Location is superb for the train station and ferries and from the thick of the more congested parts of town.
Rooms are compact but quite elegant.
Breakfast is very substantial and very well done.
Highly recommended.

We looked for a property in Venice for some time but without success - only after contacting Engel & Völkers, we received a diversified offer of properties suiting our needs. We had the pleasure to be assisted by Carlo Cermel, who is not only accomplished real estate professional but also a patient and charming person. With his assistance we made our decision quickly but without a feeling of being pushed in any direction. We would recommend Engel & Völkers anytime to our friends with a special reference to Mr. Cermel.
Best regards
Ursula & Peter Radel
