Reviews from visitors:
Wonderful masterpiece by Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa! It has been very precisely restored to its original state, offering visitors a great and rather more personal experience with the architect’s work. While visiting the showroom one enters a different world and forgets the outside laying reality of being on the San Marco Square. It almost offers a sort of resting point in the busiest part of the city.
The interior design is worth to visit it. Designed by Carlo Scarpa
Scarpa lovers and architect nerds rejoice! I won't go into detail about the features. Just go see for yourself. I wish there was more literature about the history of the building and the restoration efforts that they've undergone, but overall a great respite from all the humdrum in the square (& just happens to be one of my favorite Adaptive Reuse projects of all time). Note: this is no longer a typewriter show room. There are maybe 2 or 3? But seemed to serve as props. You will be disappointed if that is what you are looking for.
Exsquite design by Venice’s jewel, Carlo Scarpa. Yes , the typewriters are gorgeous , but stop look and use your eyes to listen to the language of the materials used in composing the treasure box of an interior design. Truly materialism at its finest, concrete brass water plaster wood artfully composed into a symphony of textures.
A small and confusing space. Obviously of importance and would have been amazing to see as it was. However there are no typewriters left at all and no explanations. Expensive and a shame
