What a magical place. Beautiful rooms, absolutely outstanding breakfast, and the location is superb - close enough that you are near everything yet quiet enough that you get away from the tourists. It was my girlfriend's birthday and I asked the staff for recommendations. Little did I know that they would engineer what would end up being my girlfriend's favourite birthday. Thank you to the staff! They were truly welcoming, outgoing and filled with great recommendations. A must if you decide to stay in Venice!

Five of us (my husband and I and three friends) have just had a wonderful time in Ca' dell' Opera which is the most fantastic apartment. The four bedrooms are all of a good size, and the real bonus is that each one has its own bathroom. The kitchen is very well fitted out and the apartment feels very luxurious. The Views on Venice staff were all very lovely and very helpful. This was the third time I have used the company and I would not hesitate to recommend them :-)

It has been a perfect experience to find my apartment in Venice through Immobiliare Fenice. Alessia has been wonderful, very comprehensive and highly helpful, not only speaking French and English, but also helping with the Italian paperwork. It was a real pleasure to exchange with her.

Easy to order a day online ahead of time. Received the locker bummer and passcode to open by email. Easy to find. Easy to get in. They even have an open locker there for you to check the size, and we found the online description felt clear and was enough space for us traveling with two medium bags each. You can open throughout the day. It was super easy and convenient!
6 Basilica dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo

We could not even imagine what a wonderful surprise awaits us by crossing the Ponte del Cavallo. From the bridge the view of Campo Santi Giovanni e Paolo is magnificent. In front of us are two magical buildings, the Scuola Grande di San Marco and the Basilica dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo. With the square and the surrounding palaces they form a magnificent whole. San Giovanni e Paolo is the main Dominican church in the city, built of brick in the Italian Gothic style. It is not dedicated to the apostles John and Paul, but to the martyrs of the early Christian church of the same name from Rome. The Venetians colloquially call it San Zanipolo. It is one of the larger Venetian churches with the status of a minor basilica and has served as the tomb of Venetian doges since the 15th century, so that a total of 25 were buried in it. The initiator of the construction was Doge Jacopo Tiepolo, whom God allegedly addressed in a dream and told him that this was the place for his preachers. In the early 15th century, numerous Venetian patricians were appointed procurators of Zanipol to ensure completion and decoration. Finally, almost two centuries after the beginning of the works, the church was consecrated on November 14, 1430. The façade is typical of Italian Gothic, vertically divided into three parts with two massive pilasters and a large central rosette, and two smaller ones on both naves. Zanipol houses the works of many famous artists, such as, Giovanni Bellini, Bartolomeo Bon, Piero di Niccolò Lamberti, Giovanni di Martino, Lorenzo Lotto, Giovanni Battista Piazzetta, Veronese (Ascension, Annunciation and Adoration of the Sages on the Ceiling of the Chapel of Rosario and Adoration of the Shepherds also in the Chapel), Bartolomeo Vivarini and many more. An exceptional experience.

Fantastic family run hotel which is owned by Best Western.
We were checked in by a lovely young local gentleman named Andrea. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and very pleasant.
Location is superb for the train station and ferries and from the thick of the more congested parts of town.
Rooms are compact but quite elegant.
Breakfast is very substantial and very well done.
Highly recommended.

Wonderful masterpiece by Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa! It has been very precisely restored to its original state, offering visitors a great and rather more personal experience with the architect’s work. While visiting the showroom one enters a different world and forgets the outside laying reality of being on the San Marco Square. It almost offers a sort of resting point in the busiest part of the city.

The hotel is just central location, near the river port. I strongly advice to come at least for the evening tea, or any other reason, and enjoy the magnificent view from the balcony, where the water is literally almost coming to your feet, the staff is also nice with a great sense of humor.

The hotel was well located in the Santa Croce area - good for visiting varoius landmarks. The suite was stunning with what I call, a Venetian Decor. Spacious Rooms with all the amenities & Extremely Friendly Staff. I would definitely recommend & would stay again in our next visit to Venice

Lovely on the canal location. Perfect room and affordable option for hotel; large comfy bed with twice daily room cleaning, lovely bathroom, and helpful front desk staff.
Would have offered 5 stars, though we decided one night to try their restaurant and found it to be very expensive (double charge on seating by canal) with underwhelming dishes, particularly pasta, and portions.
Outstanding hotel and staff though there are better restaurants for this location.

Outstanding inner courtyard seating that is adjacent to the bar. If you follow the reception you have a beautiful view over the water. Bar has great drinks at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

Best museum in Venice. It is relatively small, people are nice although under renovation but the major pieces are shown. Come early as it is empty and you get the museum for yourself

Away from the crowds you can fine this spacy museum with Rodin and other really beautiful sculptures. And a beautiful painting of Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida the Sail sewers which was the most expensive purchase of the early Biennale di Venezia. We went there to see the Fiorucci exposition which was a blast. Upstairs is the Asian art museum, but unfortunately we ran out of time. Highly recommended visit.
I do my best to keep this list as up-to-date as possible. I last updated it in October 2024. If you know of a coworking space that should be on the list, let me know. Click here to contact me. Thanks!
