Reviews from visitors:
Amazing rooms, amazing service. 10 minute walking distance from the gondolas, ski lifts. The European decor absolutely doesn't hurt! Very nice overall. You get what you pay for in this case.
This hotel is very charming and filled with character. The rooms are comfortable and cozy, and the location is quite convenient. Their ski concierge service is very convenient for getting on the mountain. Additionally, the restaurants at the Sonnenalp are all fantastic. Their pools and spas are very nice as well. This is definitely one of the best hotels on Vail, particularly for skiers.
Always a requirement to visit every time we are in town. A time warp into an amazing Swiss experience. Big fireplaces, low ceilings and amazing piano. The staff is extremely courteous and the atmosphere is always perfect.
The Bully Ranch restaurant inside of the Sonnenalp Hotel is quite possibly the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at, in my opinion. The only thing going for it is it's pretty for Instagram photos and in a great location, but everyone at my table, including myself, sent their food back because it was awful. I think they boil all of their meat entrees (a German thing?) because the meat is grey on every dish and has zero seasoning. Replacement meals were just as bad. The table next to us also sent their food back. It's very expensive too, $30 burgers and old, stale fries. Ugh.
Beautiful hotel with incredible staff. We had such a lovely stay. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating. Food was delicious. I'll never want to stay any where else in Vail. Thank you!!
