This place is a nice upgrade to the gritty backpacker hotels in Tulum town itself. Rooms are rather small but very tastefully decorated and there is a beautiful terrace overlooking the lush tropical garden. Rufino (freindly pup) and very pleasant hosts will welcome you and help you around. However, there is a lot of room for upgrades - wifi did not work at all which was very problematic as I could not reply work emails. The room was not cleaned and "the pool" is too small to he used. Additinally, a completely unnecessary key retrival process over night was a rope vehicle for covid spread.
I stayed at Ariche hotel for a full month and could not have been happier with my experience. They exceeded all expectations. As someone who has spent 1000+ nights in hotels across the world this was an amazing experience. The hotel is owned by a couple (Jehiel and Valerie) from Mexico and they go to great lengths to ensure all guests are happy (they're often on site too which is nice - with their dog Rufino). Jacobo is the manager on site and is always there to take care of guests. They also have a few staff that live on site which gives it this amazing community feel. The hotel is only a few months old and the design is cool - modern sort of industrial and wood/cement style. I was in the terrace suite which was perfect. It had a hammock which was great to relax on patio. The bar and common area is nice to relax at night and also a great co-working space off lobby area (I was working remote so this was a nice touch - never had issues with wifi). They're planning to add food soon which will be awesome but otherwise plenty of excellent options from dirt cheap to nice dining within a few blocks. There's a nice dipping pool on front side which is quiet place to lounge if you don't feel like hitting the beach. bikes were easy and reasonable to rent for a day (also have scooter and dirt bike). And if you stay in hostel part it's a nice change from the party hostels as this is quieter and can actually sleep but still go out as it's a short walk to everything in town or only 15 min bike to beach. Only 3 blocks from main ADO bus station and can catch small vans to playa or beach from main avenue. Can't wait to go back!!
I stayed at Ariche for almost 3 weeks and felt really at home. The room was quite big, extremely clean and had everything I needed. I loved the big cupboard where I could put all my clothes and stuff in, the big windows, special lighting and big rain shower in the bathroom and the overall minimal design of the room. In addition, I liked the desks in the lounge where I could work. Above all I loved the staff and their cute little dog. They even take care of me while I was sick in bed. I am pretty sure that Ariche is one of the best hotels in town and would recommend everyone staying here. Thanks again team Ariche!
An amazing stay. The hotel & hostel are beautifully designed. There are many thoughtful touches in regards to the decor and overall aesthetic. I loved the swinging bench next to all the books on the second floor. The staff were all very friendly and the main man receptionist was really really kind. The free yogurt fruit and granola breakfast I felt was adequate to have a nice start to the day. The room itself was comfortable, strong AC and smart tv with netflix with a nice bed too. The shower had warm/hot water and the pressure was pretty good too. One thing i didnt like is the design of the shower in that its pretty hard to avoid the entire bathroom floor getting soaked but thats a minor issue compared to a great week spent at ariche.
