This is a tough one for me to leave 4/5 stars on. I’d love to do 5 but I have to be honest and look at the full experience besides how beautiful and cool this place is. The views, beach, pools, and jungle cabanas are amazing. All 5/5. The restaurant and the prices are 4/5. We stayed here during COVID-19, so it was absolutely lovely to have the place be at 1/3 capacity, it felt like such a serene and hidden gem. The restaurant service was a bit slow and sloppy. Often we wouldn’t get what we ordered, especially when we modified orders. So I feel like based on the prices, they should be able to deliver a better experience. Otherwise this is a very lovely place, will be back.
One of the renowned establishments on the beach it’s has a great setup and excellent music. We had an issue with the service, drinks taking 30+ to come then we ordered food which after an hour and fifteen minutes they told us they didn’t have any more left. They just took it off the price but would have expected some sort of discount with mess up! Though I have had this couple times in Mexico and guess this me just putting Western ideals of hospitality on Mexican service. Great spot though!
Scenic beach views, accommodating service and cultured food menu. Just wish they provided better accommodations for more than 2 guests per villa. Oscar our butler was very attentive, genuine and kind. He would go over and aboard when we needed reservations, transportation and room service. I'd recommend him when you stay there.
Good location. Good art pieces. Good beach. Terrible service. Awful value for money. At $200 a night the service and offers would be OK. At $600+ a night its simply unacceptable. Just checked into the 4 seasons hotel and almost fell off my chair reminded what real service means. To top it all off they have an attitude. Go there for a drink and enjoy the setting. Dont book a room there.
This resort is beautiful but the best thing is the amazing staff that works here. May is amazing! She went above and beyond to make our trip extra special. I recommend everyone reaching out to her when you guys arrive here. She made us very comfortable and helped us with everything. Papaya playa you guys are lucky to have May. Thank you May and we love you.
