I have been a member of the Staples Studio Toronto co-working space since the last 1.5 years. It is an amazing place to work at, this is why:
- Centrally located to the downtown.
- Has a lot of natural light coming in, creating a positive work environment.
- Offers very affordable and flexible pricing models.
- Meeting like minded and a diverse set of entrepreneurs.
- Great management, with a keen eye for the member requirements. (Special shout out to Muriel and Lauren the community managers.)
- Amazing handling of the pandemic with proper disinfection stations, adapting to multiple provincial health clauses.

Excellent experience! I needed to work from downtown core last minute. I found the Staples Studio on University Avenue to be a great work environment. The various work areas (desks, phones and common areas) were very clean and inviting. Staff was very pleasant and helpful, providing insight and information to ensure my work requirements were met. If you need a quiet space to have private or group meetings or just a desk to use for a couple of hours/days Staples studio can meet your needs.
If you’re looking for a co-working space that has everything you need to work on your business or project - literally anything - and in the hearth of downtown Toronto, Staples University Studio is your place. I have been a member for almost two months now, and I have enjoyed my stay. I come here to get my creative juice going. Bright, high ceiling, well-spaced spaces and peaceful, the working environment is pleasant. You can also have unlimited free coffee and tea to get your caffeinated; there are decaff options if you like. It sure is different from other co-working spaces that I have tried, and I think that this is one of the best. There are two meeting rooms that can be combined for a bigger group. There are three phone booths that you can use to take your phone calls or Zoom meetings; that will keep your conversations private. I used to travel for work and worked in hotels sometimes for two weeks straight, and I wished I had something like Staples to work in. This studio is ideal for small businesses, startups, freelancers and consultants who need a space without wanting to invest in an office, much cheaper than a $1,500 office space. I have a monthly membership and get an upgrade to get a dedicated desk and a locker to store my things and not carry them around. It also comes with six hours of meeting room rentals. Muriel, the community manager, is there to help you with your needs, from finding stuff in the attached Staples store to booking/changing rooms. Your membership comes with other perks, including corporate-rate gym memberships, discount on car rentals, discount at Staples and more. Take advantage of those benefits! Do I recommend this place? Yes yes yes!
I just have good stuff to say about this experience.
A very well equipped space to work.
You can take your food with you, there is a fridge you can store it, and microwave to warm it up.
You have specific booths where can make calls so people don`t disturb your attention. Well, you have automated tables for better ergonomics, the chair is almost a sofa, OMG!
A really enjoyed the day in Staples Studio, I think YOU should GO too.
With everything going remote, this is a great place to work if like me, you can't work at home. Great and friendly staff on site (9am-5pm) to clarify any questions you might have. Members are very respectful and considerate towards each other and following COVID-19's best practices to keep the place safe for everything. Having access to the Studio 24/7 is definitely a plus as I'm more of a night person and was looking for a placed that could accommodate my habits.
