When we were choosing our venue, we were very impressed with the space, and the professionalism and attentiveness provided by District 28/Diana S. It is such a big decision, picking the right venue. Diana helped put us at ease about our decision, from the beginning. And we were so happy that over a year after we booked it, Diana was still our main contact, and just as responsive and helpful throughout the final planning stages, as we could have hoped for . On the day of the actual event, everything went very smoothly. Not only were my husband and I very impressed with every detail and how the space looked, our guests commented how wonderful the space was, how unique it was, how great the food was, and wondered how we found out about it. We hope this review helps you find out about it, if you are looking for the perfect venue for your wedding. It was truly wonderful and we highly recommend it.
Excellent venue to host a wedding in the city! Diana Seminara took care of us every step of the way and we loved working with her. The food was delicious and looked good too. Comprehensive packages take the leg work out of hiring multiple vendors and fussing with too many invoices by taking advantage of what they are able to provide in-house. They also offer videography which I highly recommend. The footage/editing Josh Harmer and is team produced was absolutely stunning. Splurge on the photography studio for your ceremony and get married in the clouds. Conveniently located for your guests to cab to and from, avoiding downtown traffic, right off the Lakeshore.
Cool little cafe. Love the Poutine. Though everything I order it, it either comes mixed with sweet potato fries or it doesn't. They need to fix that.
I found the menu confusing. The breakfast special or build your own have zero description of what it is. I ordered the BBLT, menu says it has crispy bacon and back bacon, but all I got was back bacon. Food and prices were decent. Service was friendly.
Edit: Ate here again the next day and was super happy with the food and the service!
We hosted our wedding reception and ceremony at District28 in October and our hearts are still reeling over the incredible experience this downtown venue had to offer. With in-house catering and knowledgeable event staff, District28 simultaneously provided a blank slate for our own ideas to take flight, while having crew at the ready to assist with our sixteen external vendors leading up to the day of. Diana Seminara is an absolute rockstar. She is hands on and thorough, honest and full of incredible ideas. She managed and planned everything with such efficiency and ease. She always made us feel like we were her only client and she always made us feel like our experience was equally important to her, too. Everything about the day went off without a hitch and not a single detail was missed.The food was incredible (shout out to the chefs!), serving staff attentive and the venue looked absolutely phenomenal. The whole day felt deeply personal and meaningful and magical and we owe that all to District28 and Diana. Thank you, thank you!
