The building is a historical power plant dating back to the 1930s. It has been converted into a cultural hub in 2015, but still much of the old industrial vibe has been preserved. Under the chimney, there is a nice restaurant, and most of the building is normally publicly accessible (except when there is a closed event).

An amazing venue and an incredibly large one! The audio quality was ace, the lights (which I'm sure is a per-concert and outsourced thing) were ideal for the party we attended. This place hosts some tremendous talent and events and seems to do a solid job of hiring polite security, quality health controls, and good bar/wait staff. 10/10 I would return to an event knowing it was being hosted at kultuurikatel
