Very basic train station. Delays happen. No kiosk. Brick-covered platform floor is difficult for luggage wheels. Way to improve.
Pedestrian side walks from the station to the lakeside are terrible - almost impossible to drag luggage and forcing one to walk on the road.
Trains are punctual in the entire Europe, the station is old and there aren’t too much staff to answer your questions. But it is okay tho

Very small venechia
The station is located just 10 minutes walk from the center of Stresa. Small but very well equipped with bar and tobacconist / newsagent. Negative note, the lack of departure update monitors in real time, without which we did not know about the cancellation of our train.
The kindness and helpfulness of the young stationmaster and all the staff who worked to help us find the best alternative are to be rewarded.
