Nice place to walk and enjoy the wildlife on the bay side ALOT of WILDLIFE
Several events planned monthly at this island Convention center. It is located down from the turtle center on the same side of the road. Normally free parking right at the center but there is overflow parking across the road that does charge. Usually there is a concession trailer on the outside of the convention center and other food items available inside. Today's event was Market Days which brings vendors hawking jewelry, purses, art, and different food items including kettle corn. They charge $1 admission for market days but some events are free...or charge higher admissions. The place is kept clean and well lit. You can get a list on planned events on the South Padre website.
Flea market/ craft fair was great! Only $1.00 entry fee, free parking, and many neat vendors.
Love going there for market day's. Glad to see some new items this year.
