Good beach side hotel with beautiful ocean views. Rooms are a little dated. I consider this hotel the 2nd best hotel in South Padre after the Courtyard by Marriott almost next door. The rooms are a little dated compared to the courtyard and there is no competition between restaurants. The courtyard beats the Hilton. The one area where I thought the Hilton was better was customer service. The staff was friendlier/ more personable and seemed to care more. Hilton is selling this property short by not properly renovating it.
Checked with standard room. Amanda at front desk was awesome. Upgraded to ocean view with suite like set up. Room was huge with separate living area (pullout couch so could sleep 6). TVs a liitle small but one in each room.

When we arrived for our anniversary weekend the room did not have electricity to it and also stunk like someone had just pooped in the room. The front desk had some one get the electrical issue fixed but did not address the smell. My wife and I left for a few hours and upon arriving back to the hotel still smelt the poop in our room. We had to get a little aggressive when the front desk to get them to change our room. Now we were in a room with a king bed, and their idea of an upgrade was to put us in a room with 2 queen beds. I’m 6’2” 290. This is not an upgrade to me but we rolled with it. The next morning we woke up and as I was moving the blankets around I found food between the mattress and the bed frame (see pictures). It makes me wonder if the sheets we slept on were ever changed. At that point I just wanted the rest of the weekend not to be ruined for my wife so we decided to let everyone know this way. I did speak to the manager for a couple minutes, after I called corporate, and he gave me one free night. No apology. Just “we are refunding you one night have a good day”. I will never stay at this hotel again!!!
Absolutely loved the hotel! Very spacious rooms and bath area. Everyone was very professional. Lobby area was kept clean and sparkling. Loved the boardwalk to the beach with the shower area!! Pool was awesome and perfect, but COLD water! LOL Great job maintaining this awesome property!
Super fancy room, a balcony, a pool, a walk path to the beach(for guests); under going a remodel. As of 11/08/20 no gift shop main floor is vacant, great things are in the works and you are welcome to use the gift shop next door at La Quinta (who are as well really great).
Staff here at the Hilton are super friendly and helpful.
Pool is clean and so clear. Absolutely beautiful and well kept up. Towels are available as are free bungalow type of seats.
