The pearl is definitely not a 4 or 5 star hotel. The pricing and fees are for a 5 star hotel, but the place is more like an average motel. Honestly just save your money by staying somewhere else
Nice hotel however when it cost more for your pet to stay than for you it is not family friendly.
Had such a great time. It was a little pricey but honestly well worth it.

Very friendly service through out the hotel. Love the pool. Right on the beach and the rooms have a balcony with amazing views. Ours faced north could see the bay, island, and ocean! Will definitely stay again.
Let's start with the good: The view.
Seriously, that's about it. The view is indeed spectacular, and you get your own "private" beach (that you share with the other 4+ resorts...). If that's all you need, you're all set.
The bad: Literally everything else.
To be fair, the staff was friendly, but not very competent. The room itself (we rented the "partial ocean view" condo) was an absolute mess. There were two patio doors (one of which was bolted shut). There were outlets with electrical/fire damage. There was mold in the dishwasher, on the dishes, and on most of the furniture (thankfully not the bed). The counter tops were peeling apart (as well as the paint on the ceiling). There were cracked tiles everywhere. You couldn't close the bathroom door while sitting on the toilet due to lack of space. And there was the constant noise of construction right below us that drowned out the peaceful sounds of the ocean all day long. Even with COVID and people staying home, it was way too busy (especially by the pool area - which you had to walk through to get to the beach). The hotel food was pretty much what you'd expect if you lowered your expectations to the minimum, and the drinks were way too strong (possibly to make you forget about all the other issues?).
...at least the view was good.
