This review is actually for the beach itself. It is clean and the proximity to the parking lots are very convenient if you have umbrellas or strollers. On weekends early arrival is recommended as the parking on the first half of the beach is limited and it gets crowded later during the day ( on Sundays earlier than in Saturdays)
The beach is of gravel, so if you're expecting sand you will be disappointed. The entire beach area was very clean.
Without any explanation (written on a paper near the "poste de secours") the authorities decided to forbid bathing and all other water-activities. Violation of this would lead to serious penalization. The sea was calm, the sky was blue. All other cities along the coast allowed everybody to swim, but only Six Fours closed all activities. To my opinion really ridiculous! Okay, there was a thunderstorm the day before, but was influence could this have on a large sea as the Mediterranean?
We were unable to get the water working for cleaning the toilet dumping area. There are several valves but none of them seemed to work. There's also a switch with illegible writing that does nothing.
