Reviews from visitors:
BEWARE. My business has been a tenant at the Regus in Smith Tower for 3 years and we have experienced seemingly endless issues with billing and invoicing. We have been charged extra fees incorrectly, had rent double-charged and had to wait months for the charges to be reversed, and had them fail to correctly invoice us on their end only to have them debit all of the payments they mistakenly did not charge all at once with no notice of the issue. Renewal costs are outrageous, even during COVID they will raise the rent on the office close to 20% each year. We have been waiting for a refund of incorrect charges now for several months despite our lease ending. Read your contract VERY CAREFULLY - they will not return your retainer unless you specifically request it which I'm not sure is even legal. The opportunity cost alone in terms of business hours spent making sure they correctly invoice you is a reason to avoid them. We wish we had never rented here and warn others to carefully monitor the charges on their accounts if they do decide to rent with Regus. If you review the BBB site for their corporate HQ you'll see unending accounts of similar issues that have been unaddressed by the business.
In response to the owner comment on this review: We have talked with several help desk representatives, everyone in our center including the regional manager, the sales representative Chris who emphatically gave us his promise he would "not let erroneous and unauthorized coffee charges impact our decision to stay", retention specialists at Regus, and (via these other contacts) the COO for the region who refused to amortize three months of un-invoiced rent vs charging it all at once despite this being Regus' error. We will email customer service as well but have already spoken with them and it is ironic that only once we leave this review (not when we were actual tenants) do we receive any offer of help...
Same experience as other reviewers - unauthorized charges they fail to reverse, enormous red tape, what appear to be actual lies ("you will see a partial return of your retainer tomorrow"). We escalated issues through our community manager, sales rep, retention specialist, and help desk and receive nothing run arounds, delays, and ultimately, "sorry, we won't reverse those erroneous charges because you didn't report them fast enough."
It's clear Regus's business model drives them to extract every last penny possible from their "members" and that they structure their leases to deliberately skirt landlord/tenant laws even though the "membership" is essentially a subleased office. We found much cheaper and better value options in the same area using craigslist. AVOID!
I have an office here. Michelle at the front desk is very helpful! I love the Smith Tower and Regus makes it convenient to have office space downtown.
The Regus staff is excellent. They are friendly, professional, and attentive not only to us but also to our clients. The offices are well-maintained and create a professional presentation for businesses.
Watch out for the red tape and the terms "gottchas"
Really regretted giving them my credit card number
