Not a bad station for a small town. There are more trips on weekdays than the weekends. They just finished renovating it so it looks cleaner and nicer now. Also, for about nine months they were fixing the line or something so going to Bordeaux, we always had to change train in Périgueux but since about three weeks ago, we can now take a direct train to Bordeaux-Saint-Jean for roughly 2.5 hours.
Cute little train station in rhe heart of Sarlat (Périgord noir). It serves the stations of Périgueux (the préfecture of the Dordogne), Bergerac and a few more. Most of the other reviews seem dated as the station has recently undergone a major remodel. In additiion, further improvements are still underway.
Too bad the station is so far from the city center with nothing around. Very difficult to get there without a car. You have to walk ... long enough even.

It is a town that can be reached by train in about 2.5 hours from Bordeaux. You can almost live in the Middle Ages today. It is possible to reach the center from the station with a 10-15 minute walk.
