This facility is very poorly managed. The common spaces are dirty and in poor repair -- sick staff members are forced to come in to "clean" but it's evident nothing in common areas has been cleaned in quite some time. Ever since WeWork botched their IPO, the company has been teetering on the brink of financial insolvency and you can tell by the condition of the building, the attitude of the staff and the quality of the services (community engagement, sacks, drinks, etc.) To make matters even worse, WeWork corporate punishes small businesses by blindly enforcing their WILDLY unfair contracts even during times of global financial crisis. Buyer beware -- there are hidden fees and punishments built into all of their standard contracts and they will use those terms to hammer you if you ever raise your voice. Shame they can't be what they pretend they are (or were at least).
Went here for a SketchUp Training and the facility was very nice. Large conference room, lounge area and refreshments were also very convenient. Also, walking distance to several restaurant options for lunch.
This location used to have a heart - a team that cared about community. It's been eye opening to have an office here during the pandemic to see firsthand what a joke Wework is. Coffee on one floor, restricted building access (when they claim to be open), decreased internet speed, and a deserted office. I see around 5-20 people per day in a building that used to have more than 300+ on a given day. Good thing I got to pay full rent on an office I couldn't use and received no viable options.
My company has been a WeWork member for over 5 years across California cities and continue to have an awesome experience. In San Diego where we have offices alongside Los Angeles and San Francisco, the staff is exceptional and continues to support our ongoing requests, all the while connecting us with potential customers in the building. The events here are also awesome! We love this place! Kudos to the entire staff including Rebecca J, Ashley B, Odette C, Kamran A, Jill L and the rest of the cleaning staff here! We love B Street! Hospitality with a capital H!
Can't speak for the other location, because this is where I signed up; but definitely at B St, if you don't fit what "they" think work should look like, it'll be a very uncomfortable experience for you.
(Some of those people leaving reviews never actually used the space and just hopped in and out on a quick visit. If that's all you do, then it would get a higher rating, because it gives a nice first impression. It's just like the story of the pretty coffin with rotting bones inside. Given that I'm posting this around Halloween, it seemed like an appropriate reference.)
