Reviews from visitors:
The concierge was great told us a few spots to go to. Room was nice, clean and sanitized.
My boyfriend was playing a wedding the weekend of Valentine's and the room was paid for by the father of the bride. We gave them the confirmation number. The hotel needed a card for deposit. I was ok with that but when the receptionist told me the total amount I was like no ma'am the room was supposed to be taken care of. She failed to tell me the total. I had to wait a week for the hotel to refund my money. That's why I gave them 4 stars.
I'm giving the Westin a 3 because of 3 reasons....
1. The rooms have stickers on each door indicating they have been thoroughly cleaned, I could expect that when they where cleaning our room before our 2 day stay they would have noticed when you run the shower/tub water it starts clogging up immediately. We were showering with water up to our ankles. Be warned if you stay in room 810 this will happen. So with this being said the person cleaning the rooms would have/should have brought this issue up with the maintenance individuals prior to having guest stay here.
2. For a prestigious Hotel like the Westin you would think you would have better pillows. After our 2 day stay our necks were hurting on the lumpy pillows.
3. The Westin had Covid swimming rules in place supposedly...this is NOT true. The front desk indicated to us that the pool had to be reserved and no one else could be in the area while our reservation was in place. They also indicated that at certain times some one would come by and spray/clean/sanitize the chairs / area etc.... this did not happen. We reserved the pool during an allotted time and 2 other entire families showed up, so we ended up leaving. There was a large dirty bloodied band aide that was out by the pool area lawn chairs for 2 days that we kept seeing from our balcony.
The room and balcony were nice. However... They couldn’t find my reservation when I looked for a confirmation email. I had to make a whole new reservation. I then got charged for the room 3 times when I checked my billing statement. The desk promised accounting would call me and they never did. I had to call them multiple times to get my money back. Overall poor experience and it wasn’t worth the hassle.
Excellent place, our room had a great view of the river walk.
The people working there were good as well.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because we had made arrangements, prior to checking in and requested a fan, we were told that we would get a fan.
We never got the fan, we called downstairs and requested a fan again to help drown out the noise and still never got a fan.
The entire night, we could hear people knocking on doors, coming in late from the bars, people slamming doors etc. this caused me to lose sleep and have a long restless night.
Hotel is 5 stars. $48 to park per day. Plus the added fees to your RSVP cost are very high. The rooms facing the street are by crosswalks that beep and talk for the hearing impaired all night. If you can't sleep from the beeping from a smoke alarm all night... You better bring ear plugs. Location is good. Everything about the hotel itself is very good. Bar and starbucks on premises.
