UPDATE 20 Oct - After 48 hours, I was indeed called back and offered a visit which resulted in a rental. The agency is visibly overwhelmed but the service is professional and the process went well.

Impossible to make an appointment to visit the properties available for rent. They tell me that they will call me back but they don't call me back. Is it because I am a self-entrepreneur and they avoid this kind of profile? I do not know. In any case, it is very frustrating and disappointing.
The name of Saint-Malo comes from Maclow (Maclow, Maclou .....Malo). Malo (or Maclow) was a Breton Saint who lived in the 6th century and who came from Wales. He crossed the English Channel and became the bishop of the old Gallo-Roman city of Alet which is now La Cite in Saint Servan a neighbourhood that now forms part of greater Saint Malo.
I didn't stay here but met some friends there who did. The staff were very nice and welcoming to me when I arrived to wait for my friends and they were delighted with their stay.
Very nice store with an impressive selection for men (this is rare). My husband has finally found shoes to suit him, although he is very difficult. The quality is at the rendezvous and the choice of brands is vast. There is something for every taste. We did not go to the women's section but the choice also seemed important. The person who took care of us was a little cold but still brought us the requested models. I think the influx of tourists trying without buying anything must be a little frustrating in the long run ... on our side, we are happy with our experience.
Very very very nice location! If you can spend a little more I would definitely recommend it. Hotel is perfectly situated with tons of things to do around the walled city. I opted for breakfast and it did not disappoint. Eggs and bacon cooked to order. Pastries, charcuterie, juices and more. Staff was very friendly at check in and was also very helpful with information.
Passing through Saint Malo this weekend, my husband and I had a more than pleasant time!

i stayed here four years ago. a long time ago but it was perfect last minute booking and the hotel was so accommodating and nice. location was great and hotel was clean.
Great place for a family-owned hotel and restaurant with seaside view. Stayed for one night in the summer for a quick weekend trip. I was immediately greeted by the hosts when I arrived at the restaurant. The hostess spoke English and gave me a small guide to Saint-Malo where she recommended local restaurants, stores, and bakeries. Note that the hotel is in a different building than the restaurant.
I was fortunate enough to get a beach side view and it was great to wake up with the ocean breeze. Room was good size for 2 people but I was mostly outside at the beach.
Checkout was easy and they let me keep my belongings until 5pm. The whole staff was wonderful and helpful. I wish I stayed on Sunday so I can enjoy the brunch
I love the square for a dink. The hotel is located at the center of it; also great to do a walk on the perimeter walls protecting the old city from the sea; beautiful
