The name of Saint-Malo comes from Maclow (Maclow, Maclou .....Malo). Malo (or Maclow) was a Breton Saint who lived in the 6th century and who came from Wales. He crossed the English Channel and became the bishop of the old Gallo-Roman city of Alet which is now La Cite in Saint Servan a neighbourhood that now forms part of greater Saint Malo.
i stayed here four years ago. a long time ago but it was perfect last minute booking and the hotel was so accommodating and nice. location was great and hotel was clean.

Very very very nice location! If you can spend a little more I would definitely recommend it. Hotel is perfectly situated with tons of things to do around the walled city. I opted for breakfast and it did not disappoint. Eggs and bacon cooked to order. Pastries, charcuterie, juices and more. Staff was very friendly at check in and was also very helpful with information.

Great place for a family-owned hotel and restaurant with seaside view. Stayed for one night in the summer for a quick weekend trip. I was immediately greeted by the hosts when I arrived at the restaurant. The hostess spoke English and gave me a small guide to Saint-Malo where she recommended local restaurants, stores, and bakeries. Note that the hotel is in a different building than the restaurant.
I was fortunate enough to get a beach side view and it was great to wake up with the ocean breeze. Room was good size for 2 people but I was mostly outside at the beach.
Checkout was easy and they let me keep my belongings until 5pm. The whole staff was wonderful and helpful. I wish I stayed on Sunday so I can enjoy the brunch
The Newsroom is perfectly located, in a quiet but very dynamic area, a few meters from the metro, the train station, and the shops of rue Saint-Hélier ...
It offers very high-level working conditions (a wifi connection which allows me to charge several giga in a few minutes), very comfortable closed offices, and above all a human-sized environment, ideal for independent or seconded workers who wish to share moments of conviviality around a coffee, a lunch or during afterwork.

Nice and well-appointed place. The common areas are spacious and well looked. You can park at the foot of the building which is easy to access, access it when you want ... and the atmosphere is great. In short, nothing to complain about! We feel "at home"
