Suspicious.
I have the impression that their Stage Mont Blanc expedition has been designed as a cash grab trap. I have done the 3 day prep. and was told that my technical level "would not feel comfortable for us to take" and then directed onto a lower cost basis mountain. They discarded 50% of the group this way. There will be no appeal and you can do nothing to change that. The comments I asked for from guides amount to "you do not hold leg steady enough". They only gave comments to another older person of the 4 who were rejected. Considering I had no major incidents, basically neverand fell and the advertisement of the experience open to beginners, I have strong inclinations to see this "guide decision" as a strategy.
The guides are at their best, thanks to Clément, Michel, Stéphane and Arnaud for making the right decisions in view of the weather. They chose the right time to get us to the top safely.
Always good advice on what equipment to take and techniques to use.
