Like other European big cities Riga (capital of Latvia) also has a wonderful symbol of freedom in the center of the city. Really nice monument, it’s open for everyone and free of charge. McDonald’s outlet is very near to this.

Just 1 min walk from the Riga Garden, this 42m high monument stands tall in this vast square in the memory of all Latvians who lost their lives between 1918 to 1920. Wonderful Ambiance and historic feel when you are around this majestic Tower.

Beautiful square with a beautiful monument. It is good, that the square is so spacious and not fully built and stuffed place. Very nice that it is surrounded by parks and even those are still there (and not yet full of buildings and other things for capitalists).

The Architecture itself signifies the great history of Latvian people and culture. I love this place. Very peaceful
