I enjoyed my stay at this hostel and found it affordable, the common area is quite pleasant to be in and it’s airy. The foliage is very nice and the bar is pretty cool, speaking of, the bar drinks are fairly priced for alcohol in the area, cheaper than the surrounding bars but obviously minus the pomp and service. The breakfast is...not something you want to commit to. I’m not sure if there’s better food earlier in the morning but with just toast and scrambled eggs the servings are bleak. You’re also expected to take care of your own dishes, which isn’t bad but considering the bleak breakfast choices I avoided doing work for such poor returns especially considering I’m on vacation.
The private rooms are clean on the surface. I’m fairly certain my lower limbs were bitten by something when they were under the sheets as they were fairly itchy every morning. The bathrooms are passably clean but the exposed pipe work under the sink is absolutely filthy.
All in all I think it’s an ok place to stay if you’re on a budget and need something super centrally placed in playa del Carmen.
The bed is ok, and the common area is nice. The location is right in the center. But, the rooms do not have key, so basically anyone can enter the room.
The bathrooms were not really clean and there was a sign asking for tips for the cleaners?

Gracias a todos son muy amables todo en orden, tranquilo, son pacientes amigables y cuidan de tu descanso manteniendo el órden, habitación compartida de mujeres o sola me encantó gracias por su servicio, siento que tengo un lugar seguro al cual llegar Siemrpz en Playa del Carmen para una noche o varias. Rooms stink, bath seemed not to be cleaned (old shampoo and soap still there), sheets on beds had stains looking like -worst case: blood, best case: drinks? Seats in the area outside often broken, “pool” not useable! Very dirty water! Paid US$50 for a private room, way too expensive!
