New Year Day meal disappointment
I tried this eatery with my husband, 6 year old & 6 month old yesterday. The reception by the staff was a sad indicator of the apathetic level of service that we were served for the next hour or so. None of the staff smiled or in fact appeared happy to be at work. Our orders were taken as a formality, but mistakes were made from the onset. A starter dish appeared on our table and was then removed to be served to the table behind us. No apology was made. We had to beckon staff for things, as they did not come to the table other than to bring dishes ordered. The food was acceptable, but not exceptional and sadly overpriced for the €75 bill reflecting one starter, 3 main dishes, one child's meal and 5 soft drinks we had. A waitress named Chahon deserves a particular mention for the rude, brash manner that she carries herself around with in the restaurant. Staff did not understand an order we made for a Schweppes lemonade and brought an alcoholic cocktail in error. Chahon was dismissive to us and gave the drink to a nearby table instead! How this eatery got a 4 star excellent rating on trip advisor displayed on the restaurant wall defies me. It is a shame that staff can have such a detrimental effect on diners' experiences but this was definately one I feel needs sharing. Here's hoping that something constructively comes out of this review for future guests.
Really nice food and full selection of Chinese, Thai and Indian currys and side dishes. Tad on the pricer side
