Such a lovely stay!! Wonderful hosts and beautiful masseria
I benefited from the coworking space of La Controra in Manduria, in July and August 2020. Divided into three rooms, it is equipped with a wifi network (in a state that is sufficient for work that is not too demanding in terms of weight and data transfer speed - I also some Teams and Zoom video calls - but a strengthening plan has been initiated), printer, projector, coffee machine. The environment is bright (many windows with new windows and mosquito nets) and inspiring with its look between the industrial (with old plasters just sanded, rough pine boards and Northern European shell chairs) and the compositional. The bathroom is lovely, with a microcement sink positioned under / inside a giant old fireplace. Located near the new municipal building, it enjoys superlative Vodafone data reception (I preferred to work in thetering / Hotspot with my mobile phone because it guaranteed me about 150 MB in download and 40-50 MB in Upload). In addition to being able to benefit from all of the above, the courtesy and spirit of hospitality of Simona and Sandro, two young Italian minds, who after graduating and experiences abroad have found here a splendid dimension to carry on all their projects. Highly recommended !!!
Perfect places and where to find them ....
A white farm 2 steps from the village, a garden with pomegranates and cats. A room with antiques and pieces of history. A homemade breakfast, some chat with the owners. About ten km from the sea.

The "La Controra" farmhouse is a fascinating example of restructuring capable of harmonizing the past with the present. It is not a farm used as a simple B&B but it is also a coworking with efficient wifi network and an active place in the promotion of educational activities and cultural events.
I spent the second week of June in one of the rooms of the farm and I was also able to enjoy the silence of both the surrounding and internal spaces, therefore an excellent place for those who want to escape the noise of traffic and the city.
In about 20 minutes by car you can reach beaches such as those of San Pietro in Bevagna or Campomarino, or go further north towards Marina di Pulsano or further south towards Porto Cesareo in search of small bays with Caribbean colors.
And to conclude, I applaud the hosts Simona and Sandro for their project together with my best wishes for the future, thanking them for the company during my stay!
It is a rural island in an enchanting farm, where Simona and Sandro have taken care of the place with a lot of attention and super details. Cozy rooms with historic furniture, air conditioning, breakfast with good cakes in the garden. Nice nice nice! Recommended
