Reviews from visitors:
Since 2 years ago, they acquired cool wheelchairs, and added weekdays & evening discounts. Ping-pong table included. Nice place to work.
A great coworking space
Nice place.
But during the conference the vent system sucked.
It all depends on the exhibition you are visiting but in regards to the venue itself: not a very accessible location. You will have to make your way inside a small and very unassuming staircase and proceed to either the elevator or, if it is too busy (god forbid)..... take the STAIRS to the topmost floor. beware it is quite the climb.
This coworking center is one of the many coworking places I have worked, so I will be able to compare it.
Pros:
- Huge room with high ceilings - noise from the next table is not disturbing.
- Location - next to Kremlin and Red Square, near the metro station, a lot of places to catch breakfast or lunch nearby.
Cons:
- Was there from September to November/December and all the time it was freezing cold - the place is too huge to properly heat. Beware of mid seasons when heating is off.
- The company that owns the place rents the next room for events and there is no noise reduction - you will be able to hear music and people talking with mic from the next room, sometimes the head company takes there corporate events with wine tasting, etc, so you will see drunk crowd. Out of 5 working day 4 is with events.
- Entering the place would be quite a problem - they have 2 entrances to coworking, main entrance and backdoor. Main entrance has no security system with cards or fingertips but only a guard who never questions you and lets you in. Have seen a lot of people entering without a permission so watch your belongings. But the problem is not only security - they close main entrance for resident when there is an event in the next room. So they will give you a card to enter from the backdoor, so you will have to always be aware of the events. Of course you can always use the backdoor - but is not comfortable, as you will have to pass all through the building, and if you are not a smoker you will be unhappy - the corridors have a terrible smell of cigarettes, even it is prohibited to smoke indoors - nobody cares.
- Another problem with entrance is the checkpoint (two windows at the backdoor) - the staff is very unfriendly, rude and unprofessional. If you need your pass card or order a pass for guests be prepared to meet horrible service.
- WC can accommodate only 2 people at a time, you can find another bigger WC near the stairs which belongs the building.
- Cleanliness is a big problem there - often you will find no toilet paper in WC, 2 times encountered cockroaches - each time talked with cleaning personnel, was told that they are taking measures against it and tried poisoning. You should understand that the building is quite old and only pieces were renovated (coworking at least) so from the old parts of the building you will welcome these visitors.
- Problems with Wi-Fi - often you will have problems with weak signal, I had at least two days of work disturbed with loss of Wi-Fi.
- Cafeteria (maybe owned privately) in coworking is not good, located near WC where cockroaches are infested, be prepared to lunch in nearby places.
- Bring your own coffee - the one they serve free is not good, not many brave hearts try it there.
- Again problem with security - few times I have seen people attending the event nextdoor went into the kitchen to get free coffee and tea. Especially from the events of Yandex there. So take your phone and notebook with yourself.
- Meeting rooms - there are two meeting rooms you can reserve and some boxes for four people that can be used without reservation. The big meeting rooms are cold and without noise reduction, the glass door are not high enough due to the height of the ceilings, so you will hear people talking while having a meeting.
- Lack of whiteboards and flip charts - bring your own, or use the blackboards with chalk they have.
- Lack of projectors - do not forget to reserve the existing one/ones, as not every meeting room has that.
