I would like to understand what problems you have, the trains travel at 2 km / h. If I started walking on the tracks I would go faster. Wake up that Italy is another. We are in the third world.
The most useless station in all Italian cities where an IC or something that could be defined as a train has never left, a sort of local bus station "CLOSE IT" !!!
It is the former provincial capital. And there are a lot of places to visit.
Especially going into the narrow streets of the historic center.
