Probably my favorite ski resort that I've been to. Located on the eastern side of the Sierras. Big enough to ski a new run or chairlift all day long. Terrain for all types of skiers. Great snow following storms. Friendly staff working the lifts. Just an all around awesome place to go skiing during the winter and spring months.
Great place. Staying strong, staying open. Mask required in labeled zones. Very nice people and staff . Parking is a drag so plan accordingly. Bus system is helpful. no indoor dining but food available. New snow 12/14/20 much needed. Hopefully opening up eagle lodge 12/18- snow making in progress. Kid friendly for all levels. Private lessons only right now.20/21 season thus far. No kids ski teams or schools under 7y/o. A drag but we get it. Stay open!
DON'T rent skies from the resort. There are much better places in town with better skies and prices. We reserved them at the mountain to make it easy to transport. However, when we tried to get the skies at 3:10pm for the next day, they said they don't let any more people come in since they want to leave before 9pm. WTH? Now, we have to go in the morning and waste half the morning getting skies instead of being on the slopes. Such horrible service for hospitality industry
Amazing. Incredible. Easy to start the 2021 year. There's so many options, from beginner to expert. People are having picnics while taking breaks, great idea when entire family is traveling. Very organized, clean and friendly. Even if you don't want to ski or snowboard, you'll still have fun.
This is my home mountain so I am biased, having said that the amount of terrain and the vibe is so on point here. You are bound to have a good time. Get in ski school if your feeling less than confidant and push yourself to become something more than you could imagine!
