Stayed here quite a few times. Some rooms better than others with size. Bit are all clean and beds are comfortable. They have been doing it up for a while and it's coming along good.
The Sefton Park Hotel is located in the ideal location if you are visiting Liverpool for work or leisure. Located opposite the Sefton Park and practically on the River Mersey its location is an immediate benefit. The rooms are good, but not the best. You can hear your neighbors, the floors squeak and the wifi never worked in our room. So make sure you have data or else you will be stuck watching the channels available. I went out for a morning stroll, came back at 9am, and could not get into the hotel. I was stuck outside for 20min and called their number 6 or so times without any response. My advice to the hotel staff is to either give your guests a key to the front door or leave it unlocked and have someone stationed there. The restaurant in the hotel is the 'bees knees'. Their food is top-notch! Have the buttermilk chicken burger and you will not want to order anywhere else. Seriously awesome food! So eat there for sure. The hosts accommodated my request to check-in a little bit earlier and were overall great. If I were to be critical I would say that they need to be more transparent about the service that they offer. For instance - when I ordered food from the restaurant (on the second night) they offered to bring it to my room. I was not aware that room service was an option or else I would have ordered from there the first night too. Overall definitely a 3 star hotel that only needs to make minor adjustments to have a truly great hotel for the weary traveler.
Lovely place! Rooms are very clean and the whole place is beautifully decorated. The young lady on reception was friendly and cheerful.
Made very welcome for an excellent cup of coffee. Will go again and recommend just from that short experience.
Excellent hotel would recommend to stay when in Liverpool nice covid alert staff social distancing in place,stayed with girlfriend in December 2020 just b4 new lockdown Derek
