A modest property, off-season. This was the first time I stayed at Les Mottets and there was nothing outstanding about the room. It was clean and the windows overlooked the fields to the South and east of Aussois. Dinner was uninspired, beginning with an artichoke and mustard sauce followed by a baked chicken leg served with whipped potatoes and milk gravy. Instead of a dessert, I selected the cheese which included a number of options. On checkout there was some confusion as none of my credit cards were accepted by the hotels terminal. A quick call to my bank proved that the issue was not my credit but the terminal or phone it was connected to. After a time the proprietor reset the terminal and my card was accepted immediately.

A nice place. While the hotel could use a facelift, it has a charm that ultra modern lodges and hotels calibrated for service lack.
Very pleasant restaurant whether in a beautiful terrace or a large old-style room. Generous portions and home cooking. A warm welcome like you will rarely see in a mountain resort. As a bonus, animals are totally welcome and have the right to fresh water without even asking!
