Both check in and check out process was really slow with a long queue. The room seems little smaller for luxury hotel and furnitures and amenities are not really functional, too simple and boring. Disappointed for F&B section. Both the bar and the restaurant staff didn't approach me when I am about to sit down and look at menu, I didn't get any greetings at all and not feel welcomed.
What a find! Cannot wait to book here next time we visit Kyoto. The location is perfect and the special touches - like the face wash being a 4-part Japanese skincare set - was really special.
Awesome low key 5 star boutique spot - great service. Staff are genuine. Loved it will be back.
Hotel is close to public transits, so possible to get around without having to cab it. Staff was very helpful during our stay, and willing to provide us with info of places to go. Unfortunately cause of the virus most indoor places were closed. Room was the superior room with the king size bed, is worth it if you're the type of person that likes there space. They provide bicycles which can be used to move about in the area just need to ask at the front desk, not sure if a fee is associated with it though. Wife and I wanted to see the area more on foot.
Modern hotel with traditional touch! The rooms are decent sized and extremely comfortable. The staff were really good and helpful too. We love how by 2nd day, the house keeping staff noticed we have baby and prepared a set of extra towels, kids bedroom slippers and kids toothbrush too! How thoughtful!! Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much. Special thanks to Francesca for helping us check in and doing some kaiseki research for us!
