not that much busy place station when compared to tokyo station
This station is beautiful. Lots of things to do and if you ever have a long delay this station is a great place to hang out. The skywalk along the roof is a definite must do. The roof patio is a great place to enjoy a view while having lunch. Also with the many relaxation rooms a short napping place is never too far away. If your the exploring type then use one of the thousands of coin lockers and enjoy a city center trek.
Massive station with an incredible architecture and tons of stores, cafes and restaurants, connecting the JR to the local transportation system and buses. Be sure to go all the way to the top, there’s a lot to see there as well, with a gorgeous view of the Kyoto tower and surrounding mountains.
A huge station with a lots of shops and mall. great architecture. From the station building you can get a beautiful city view. station stuffs are helpful.

The main transport hub of Kyoto. And its huge! This place is more than just a station. Its loaded with shops, restaurants, cafes, stores, you name it. You can also view the Kyoto tower from the main entrance, only a few minutes away.
