Best place to buy your souvenirs and gifts during your Japan trip since they have the tacky, but also the proper stuff in one place! Also price wise it's competitive with the other souvenir shops. You can combine your shopping from both shops (there is two shops beside each other) and get your tax returned easily.
Interesting place to come check out! Plenty to see and do, multiple floors with various items. You can buy kimono, Japanese art & dolls as well as katanas. They also offer classes and crafting experiences. Definitely worth a look if you're in Kyoto, not the easiest place to get to though.
Lovely shop for Japanese goods. It is a bit of a trek on the bus from Kyoto Station, but excellent shop if you want locally-made souvenirs.
